Well, here it is, my first post of 2012.

There are so many things that will happen in this year that we can never foresee or predict.

But, our hopes and wishes for this year, we often keep in the front of our minds during these first few days and weeks.

As the year passes, however, a lot of us tend to forget what we had wanted to accomplish and simply look forward to next year’s new beginning.

So, for the sake of not disappointing myself, I usually don’t do resolutions.

I will say, though, that I would love to start habits in my life that have been too infrequent.

Living intentionally is something that I am becoming more aware of as I explore how I want to conduct myself.

Through the busyness of my work schedule this past fall, I realized that it was all too easy for me to become stressed and overwhelmed if I looked at the week ahead.

But, if I focused on that day and prayed for the strength for those moments, my days were blessed and I became more content.

So, that’s really what I want to focus on this year. To live each day intentionally and make the most of the time I have in those moments with the people I love.

2011 was a landmark year for me personally, and professionally. I look back through my calendar and see how richly God has blessed my business this year

and how amazing it was to be a part of so many lives and occasions.

Beautiful weddings, births, documenting the first year of so many sweet babies and capturing the first family photos of adoptive families.

I feel I have gained so many new friends through my business.

I can’t possibly show all the shoots I have done over the last year, and especially the last few months. So, I apologize if you have expected your shoot to be on the blog and it didn’t make it.

I will still be posting a few more from the past month, but will start fresh with new shoots from 2012 after that.

I want to thank you all so much for your business and support this year.

As always, I rely on your referrals to keep my business going, and you have certainly been talking about me…. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate that.

I never expected to be this successful in something that I love doing, so it’s very humbling to see how God has used me in this way.

Thank you all, and I look forward to continuing to capture your families as they grow!
