Rowan ~ Newborn – Hospital

My wonderful friends, the Marko’s, had their second child last week. A beautiful boy name Rowan.

I didn’t get to the hospital until Susan was already pushing, but I was there for the big moment.

I have never seen a woman so calm during labor. Still smiling and laughing with the nurses and doctor, calmly asking Bobby for ice chips. She’s amazing!

And then, Rowan was there! Perfect and beautiful… I just loving photographing births.

I came back the next morning to take pictures as their daughter, Aubrey, met her little brother for the first time.

I’ve never seen a child be so excited to meet her sibling. She was kissing and hugging him right away.

Congratulations Marko family! I love you all and love watching your family grow!

Robert - Beautiful! I am so proud of you and Susan…and of course Aubrey! You have a wonderful family and I love all of you! Rowan is such a blessing to all of us!

Donna Marko - He just beautiful. You are truly blessed having such a goregous baby and a boy this time! Another to carry the family name. These photographs are awesome!

Bjon - Laurel.. Really?? These are crazy!! I’m so proud of you and how you can walk into that kind of situation and without being overwhelmed by whats happening come out with these shots. I especially love the crisp detailed shots of Rowan on the weight scale and the head measuring. In my opinion, it also seems to give this birth a vintage feel with the stark black and white throughout the whole shoot. Almost scientific.. but also warm.. interesting.. Great Job Love!!
