Summertime….. and the livin’ is easy.

I’ll admit that we’re a little relaxed with our parenting in the summer.

Rules seem to almost vanish and there’s no set bedtime. We have pretty great kids, so this doesn’t seem to affect their behavior much.

We didn’t do anything especially exciting or travel anywhere exotic. We mostly just played, swam, hung out with friends, and relaxed with each other.

But, this is the last day of summer.

Our kids are excited about school starting, but are mourning a bit for the freedom the summer has brought.

I like routine, though, so I’m ready to get organized again.

We now have a 3rd grader and a Kindergartener!

I can’t believe that both my children will be away from me for so much of the week. To be honest, I’m a little sad about it.

But, I’m looking forward to what this year will bring for my kids and for our lives as a family.

Here’s a small glimpse into our summer fun.
